Hi my name is Kanya Misra and I am an incoming senior at American High School. I have always been interested in genetics because it tells us so much about our health and what makes us unique. As an officer, my goal is to help club members further their understanding of genetics through activities and events.

Hi! My name is Jasmine Wang and I am a senior at American High School. Genetics is an interesting and engaging topic that I want to share with every student. My goal to spread interest and raise awareness in this subject through collaboration with other officers of this club.

Hi! My name is Diya Stephen and I am a senior here at American High School. I became interested in genetics through my fascination of how people come to be. It’s amazing how our genes play a huge role in our health and who we are. My goal as an officer in this club is to inform as many people about the wonders of genetics in a fun and entertaining way!

I’m Katherine Tat, a 12th grader! I joined the club to be immersed in an environment in which I am able to take leadership roles. I am particularly interested in genetics due to how much there is still to discover! My goal for this club is to expand it and create a community of genetics-loving students.

I'm interested in genetics because it combines my interest in science and statistics to make breakthrough discoveries and find cures/causes of many medical conditions. My goal is to help more students interested in math and science learn more about applications of genetics in the real world and hopefully get involved in research.

Hi I'm Divya Durgavarjhula and I'm in 12th grade! I believe genetics is a gateway to the human body, and there’s so much we can learn about it to help people live better lives.; I would love to become a software engineer, possibly in the biomedical or genetics field. I want to expand the genetics club and host engaging events for people to learn more about genetics.

Tanya is the founder and president of the Genetics Club. She has always been passionate about genetics, and has done many projects in the field. She aims to create a community of peers interested in research and is excited to welcome new members!

Hi my name is Deiva Dham and I’m an incoming senior this year. I have always been fascinated with genetics because it creates the foundation to understanding how humans work. Just four nucleotides can help us decode why someone has certain characteristics or certain diseases. With genetics we can understand more about the past and use this to create a better future. As an officer in the club, I hope to plan events to raise awareness about genetics in today’s world and help others get more involved in genetics related activities.
