To Inspire, To Involve, To Immerse

American High School Genetics Club
To Inspire, To Involve, To Immerse
A club founded at American High School in 2019, the Genetics Club aims to spread information about the new and upcoming field of genetics and give opportunities for our peers to be able to take part in research. We will provide connections to different research organizations from many different backgrounds, including nonprofits and fellow college genetics clubs. We will also delve into the ethics of the field and discuss about its future!
The American High School Genetics Club Events
We’re committed to helping our members every step of the process of becoming a research intern. Here's a list of successful events we have held in light of this goal.

23andMe Speaker Event
23andMe, a notable and reputable company in the field of genetics, came in on 2/20/2020 to American High to present about their work. We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Stella Aslibekyan for her lovely presentation to over 50 students.

Chipotle Fundraiser!
We held our first ever fundraiser at Chipotle in Newark, where we raised over $400 for the club! This money was used to provide resources to our members in other events that we held.
